Five Good Friends values fairness and transparency, and we want everyone to be treated this way. The policy outlines the approach taken by Five Good Friends when managing Independent Contractor Helper deactivation from the Five Good Friends Platform and related services.
Scope
All Independent Contractor Helpers who are registered, vetted and verified on the Five Good Friends Platform.
Objective
This policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which a platform worker's account may be temporarily or permanently deactivated. The goal is to maintain a safe, reliable, and professional environment for all users.
Definitions
- Deactivation: The process of temporarily or permanently removing or disabling a Helper's account from the platform. Deactivation removes the ability to be rostered for shifts.
- Helper: An individual who is an Independent Contractor and uses the App (Platform) to offer services or goods to Five Good Friends Members. At Five Good Friends, our Independent Contractor Helpers are classified Platform Workers.
- Violation: A breach of the Brokerage Agreement, Code of Conduct, Compliance requirements, or other applicable requirements and policies.
Policy Statement
Deactivation Grounds
Five Good Friends reserves the right to temporarily or permanently deactivate a Helper's account for the following reasons:
- Violation or failure to meet the obligations of the Brokerage Agreement: Any violation of the Brokerage Agreement, including but not limited to:
- Providing inaccurate or misleading information
- Engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices
- Failing to comply with safety guidelines or regulations
- Engaging in inappropriate or harmful behaviour
- Failing to act in a manner that meets the Aged Care Quality Standards, and/or the NDIS Practice Standards, and their relevant Codes of Conduct.
- Poor Performance: Consistent failure to meet performance standards, as determined by Five Good Friends.
