This policy sets out how we support workers in accessing the training they need to succeed in their roles and provide great care and services.

Goals

Five Good Friends' learning & development goals are to:

  1. Support workers in retaining, maintaining, and acquiring relevant knowledge and skills. This enables them to provide safe and quality care to Members.
  2. Support workers in improving skills, knowledge, and competencies for career growth.
  3. Contribute to the business’s values by delivering great outcomes and encouraging workers to take ownership of their learning and development.
  4. Support the business with its legal and sector compliance requirements.

All workers, including contractors and Associated Providers, must undertake learning and development activities. These activities align with their roles, responsibilities, and requirements of the aged care and disability sectors.

Scope

This policy applies to all Five Good Friends workers (employees, contractors, and Associated Providers)

Objective

The objective of this policy is to outline Five Good Friends' desired outcomes from training and guide actions towards achieving them.
