We are committed to ethical, responsible, and sustainable business practices and to respecting the human rights of everyone connected to our organisation — including care professionals, employees, independent contractors, and people working within our supply chains.

As a growing, Australia‑wide home care organisation, we recognise our responsibility to take meaningful steps to prevent modern slavery. This policy outlines our commitment to identifying, preventing, and responding to modern slavery risks in our operations and in the home care and aged care supply chains we rely upon.

What We Mean by Modern Slavery

Modern slavery refers to situations where people are exploited and cannot refuse or leave work due to threats, violence, coercion, deception, or abuse of power.

For the purpose of this policy, modern slavery includes:

• Trafficking in persons: Recruiting, transporting, or harbouring people through coercion, deception, or force for the purpose of exploitation.
• Slavery: Situations where a person is deprived of their freedom and forced to work.
• Servitude: Where a person is required to work to pay off a debt or obligation under unfair or coercive conditions.
• Forced or compulsory labour: Work demanded under threat or penalty where the person has not volunteered freely.
• Debt bondage: Where a person’s work is used to repay a debt that is unreasonable, undefined, or difficult to repay.
• Deceptive recruitment: Misleading someone about their work conditions, pay, location, or rights.
• The worst forms of child labour: Including slavery, forced labour, or hazardous work involving children.
