Five Good Friends and The Lookout Way are committed to the health and wellbeing of all of its workers. This policy outlines the specific entitlements relating to pandemic leave as a result of COVID-19.
Scope
This policy applies to Five Good Friends and The Lookout Way workers (employees and volunteers).
Objective
To provide clear processes to support pandemic leave as a result of COVID-19 for all Five Good Friends and The Lookout Way workers.
Definitions
- Front Line Worker – Employees that are not able to perform a significant portion of their duties from home.
- Office-Based Workers – Employees who do not meet the front-line worker criteria and are able to perform their role from a corporate or home office.
- Casual Worker – An employee that has no firm advance commitment to ongoing work with an agreed pattern. Casual employees are paid on an hourly basis and do not accrue annual leave and sick leave.
- Part-time Worker – An employee that has an advance commitment to ongoing work who work on average less than 38 hours per week. Part-time employees are salaried and accrue annual leave and personal leave on a pro-rata basis.
- Full-time Worker – An employee that has an advance commitment to ongoing work who work on average 38 hours per week. Full-time employees are salaried and accrue annual leave and personal leave.
Policy Statement
Casual front-line workers
Casual front line-workers, that are required to isolate due to State Government Public Health Orders or Directives relating to COVID-19, will have their rostered shifts, as at the day of becoming aware of the need to isolate, paid to them for the period that they are required to isolate. To be eligible for this payment casual front-line workers must provide proof of their isolation requirements. The following documents will be accepted as proof:
