At a Glance

Five Good Friends recognises that risk is present in all business activities. Effective risk management will maximise safety, improve Member outcomes, increase stakeholder value, confidence and trust and assist in the achievement of strategic objectives.

Effective management of risk requires:

As an organisation committed to the provision of person-centred care, that endeavours to always focus on the customer and their outcomes, we support dignity of risk. This means we respect our Members’ rights to live the life they choose, even if those choices involve risk.

All workers have a responsibility to proactively identify, report, manage, and communicate risks and improvement opportunities in a timely effective manner. We as an organisation enable reporting and communication of risk and make this process safe and easy for our people.

This approach helps Five Good Friends to provide, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe workplace for workers, and to minimise risk to Members and the organisation.
