Introduction

Five Good Friends (FGF) will endeavour to take all reasonably practicable steps to provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to its employees, volunteers, independent contractors and subcontractors (collectively, workers) and any other person whose health or safety may be adversely affected by the conduct of FGF’s business.

Everyone in the workplace has duties and responsibilities in respect of workplace health and safety (WHS) and a cooperative approach is required to ensure WHS.

FGF takes its responsibilities concerning WHS extremely seriously and requires Workers to do the same.

WHS is largely about common sense and we ask you to cooperate with FGF to ensure your safety and to ensure that your actions do not endanger those around you.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that workers are aware of:

1. the measures that FGF has put in place to help ensure WHS;
2. their own WHS obligations and responsibilities; and
3. the procedures for reporting injuries and/ or risks to health and safety.

Scope

This policy applies to all workers (including employees, volunteers, independent contractors and subcontractors) whilst performing work for FGF at any location.
