Objective

The purpose of this workflow is to provide guidance on how to prepare, respond and recover from an emergency and/or crisis. It will assist key stakeholders including Employees, Helpers and Members.

Key information

Preparing for emergencies and crises can help lessen the effect and impact on Five Good Friends’ (FGF) ability to provide services and in turn support our Members and workers. In defining an emergency, FGF looks at:

• the nature of the event
• the pace and predictability
• likely duration of the response
• complexity of managing the event
• level of coordination required
• and level of external exposure.
